Arvel Mclemore

Arvel Eugene McLemore, 90 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Waxahachie. Eugene was born on October 01, 1927 in Ovilla, Texas to the late Arvel Hobbs and Aster Eva Waddle McLemore. After graduating Midlothian High School he served in US Army during WWII. After the war, Eugene met and married the love of his life Patsy Corbett in 1945. He was the owner and operator of the Waxahachie Glass Company for many years, he was also a longtime member, Deacon and was appointed to Elder Emeritus in 2008 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ovilla, Texas. He will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law: Dixie and Charles Browning of Waxahachie, Texas; Daughter in Law: Jessica Marler of Ovilla, Texas. Four Grandchildren: Charles Browning, Jr. of Denton, Texas, Jennifer and David Ledbetter of Rowlett, Texas, Holly and Tom Russell of Midlothian, Texas and Mashayla Marler of Ovilla, Texas. 7 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren: He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patsy in 2014 and his son Aaron Ray McLemore in 2012.

Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ovilla, Texas with Rev. Vernon Sansom officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Ovilla, Texas. Pallbearers will be employees of Waxahachie Glass Company and Honorary Pallbearers will be elders of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shiloh Cemetery Fund c/o Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ovilla, Texas.
