Armando Cantu, Sr.

Armando Jesus Cantu, Sr. 66, of Waxahachie passed away Wednesday, March 06, 2013 in Waxahachie. He was born on November 23, 1946 to Francisco & Esparanza Cantu Galindo in Rio Grande City , Texas . He graduated from high school and joined the U.S. Marines Corp and served in Vietnam . He worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass for 32 years until his retirement. Armando loved being with his family, playing bingo and watching football on the television. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife: Maria Cantu of Waxahachie , Texas ; 1 Son: Armando Cantu, Jr. and his wife Tracy of Waxahachie and 1 daughter: Melissa Cantu of Waxahachie, his mother: Esperanza Cantu of Rio Grande City, Texas 3 step-sisters all of Roma, Texas and 4 Grandchildren: Vanessa Cantu, Calvin Mays, Miguel Cantu and Juan Cantu and numerous cousins from Corsicana, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, March 09, 2013 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel . Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery . Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, March 08, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Saturday, March 09, 2013 at 2:00 PM prior to the service in the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
