Arlen Dale Miller, of Waxahachie, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday November 15, 2019 at 3:53 pm.

Dale Spent his early years as a child in East Texas and then served his Country in the United States Navy.

He loved to work with his hands and spent most of his life as a Carpenter. Music was always his life though and he loved to play and sing with his friends in a Southern Gospel Band at Church as well as at Opry’s around the area. Very often he could be found in his music room at home practicing on the newest songs.

Dale was an accomplished Square Dance Caller where he was known as “Yodeling Dale Miller”. He recorded many records, and was even on Charley Pride’s label. He called Square dances as far away as The Calgary Stampede, among many other places.

Dale was a loving husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle. We were all blessed to have him for the time we did.

He is survived by his Wife of 60 years LaVonne Miller; two Sons John Miller, and Andy Miller; Daughter-in-law Teresa Miller; four Grandchildren Steven Miller, Yolanda Vestal, Miranda Miller, and Seth Miller; and three Great Grandchildren; Paige Burwell, Shaelynn Reaves, and Dylan Vestal.

He is also survived by his Brother Tom Miller, and Sisters Helen Dodson and Margeret Petitjean, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Dale is preceded in death by his Father Elvy Miller; Mother Ludie May Miller; Brothers Gorden, and Billy; and Sister Mary.

He will be laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas on December 6th at 10:30 am with family in attendance.
