Mr. Ardie Shelton, 80, of Midlothian passed away Tuesday, August, 25, 2009 in Waxahachie. He was born September 30, 1928 to Ollie and John Shelton in Sardis. He was a truck driver for several companies and he loved mowing lawns for people. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Waxahachie and served his country during WWII in the Navy. His most treasured moments were the time spent with his family. Nothing put a smile on Ardie's face more than when one of the great-grandkids or great-great grandkids came in the door and crawled up in his lap. He waited for those moments and the times when all the family would come together at his home for holidays.
Survivors are his loving wife Marie Shelton, Daughters: Belinda Phillips and husband Lesly, Donna Kuykendall of Dallas, Grandchildren: Tammy Ramsey and husband Keith, Dwayne Phillips and wife Marla, April Vickery and husband John, Jamie Phillips, and Brandi Kuykendall, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
A visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Services will be conducted 10:00 AM Friday at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers are: Robert Morris, Dwayne Phillips, Corey Padgett, John Vickery, Keith Ramsey, and Jimmy Kuykendall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231, American Diabetes Association, or Heritage Baptist Church.
