Antoinette Huddle

October 6, 1951 — June 15, 2021

Waxahachie

Antoinette “Toni” Louise Huddle passed away in peace at her home on June 14, 2021, in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born on October 6, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, but grew up in Waxahachie from the age of 3. Toni graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1970. She loved being in the WHS marching band. She received her associates degree from the Dallas University and study in Europe for a semester.

Toni met Raymond when they were teenagers and remained in contact when Raymond enlisted in the Navy. After Raymond completed his service with Navy, he returned home to Toni, and they wed on March 3, 1973. They had two children, Derek & Mark. When Toni’s mother became ill, Toni took care of her mother along with being her parents’ caregiver. She was a very responsible and caring person.

Toni enjoyed watching her sons play golf and soccer. She, herself, played a “mean” game of golf. Some of her favorite TV shows were soap operas, Dancing with the Stars, and Big Brother. She would enjoy doing crosswords and puzzles. She made an amazing German potato salad and had the best chex party mix. She was an avid fan of the Cowboys, Longhorns, Stars and all Waxahachie Indian sports. And you could always count on Toni to pick the Cleveland Browns when she played in football pots. Toni worked for WISD for over 20 years in food nutrition, aka the lunch lady. She was dedicated to her work, as she had over 120 hours of unused sick time. She didn’t like to miss work.

Toni is preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Grimes and Sally Baltz; and her parents Earl and Josephine Baltz. Toni is survived by her husband, Raymond Huddle; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Jeni Huddle; son, Mark Huddle; granddaughters, Jessica Huddle and Emily Campbell; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jaxon, Oliver and Nicolas; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara O’Neil and Dennis; nieces, Shelly, Christy, Laura, Joanne, and Angie. She also leaves behind other relatives. Toni will be greatly missed by her family.
