Annie Lou McCain, 91 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Renfro Nursing home. She was born to the late J. P. and Amanda Roberts Woody on June 19, 1917.

Annie loved going to church and spending time with all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchilren. She enjoyed sewing and made her own clothes for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie.

She is survived by her grandsons, Charles W. Lynn of Waxahachie, James V. Lynn and his wife, Jackie of Waxahachie; her granddaughter, Sherrie Odom and her husband, Larry of Waxahachie; her 6 great-grandchildren: Tara Gattin, Chelsea Cole, Chase Lynn, Samantha Lynn, James V. Lynn, II, Lyndsey Markert; and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Williams; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
