Annie Rue Stanton Adams

Annie Rue Stanton Adams, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 in Waxahachie. She was born July 22, 1918 in Decatur, Texas. Annie Rue and family moved to Waxahachie when she was two months old. She loved her church and church family at the First Baptist Church of Ferris and loved her Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Adams and wife Linda of Combine, Clayton (Buddy) Adams of Lancaster; daughter, JoAnn Yates and husband, Harley of Palmer; sisters, Johnnie Oats, Louise Wheatley, and Dorothy Hilton; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. W. (Spec) Adams, and two grandsons.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
