Ann Elizabeth Higgins, age 87

Mrs. Higgins passed away at her residence in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born at Long Branch, Ellis County, Texas to Marshall and Georgia McDow Vincent. She was a lifelong resident of Ellis County. She graduated from Waxahachie High School. She married Talmadge Higgins December 1, 1939 in Waxahachie. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She retired from the Ellis County School System.

Mrs. Higgins was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by 1 son Sammy Mac Higgins and wife Rebecca of Fredricksburg, Tx,; 2 daughters: Pam King and husband Dub of Pueblo, Co., and Penny Higgins, of Waxahachie; 1 brother, James Vincent of Waxahachie and 2 sisters-in law: Laverne Lewis and husband James, Waxahachie, and Mary Lou Higgins, Desoto, TX,.4 grandchildren: Brandy & Cliff Owens, Hillary & Dustin Slater, Sam & Jenny Higgins, Ashley King; and 3 great grandchildren: Samantha, Megan & Cody Owens.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Saturday, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 04, 2004 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Reed officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Roberts, John Higgins, Tom Higgins, Doug Higgins, Reed Higgins, David Lewis, Stan Lewis and Tommy Winn. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Waxahachie.

Memorials made be made to the Waxahachie Senior Citizens Center.
