Alton Clyde Isaacks, age 90

Daddy has lived a long wonderful life, always working towards a goal. He was a self made man who always made his family proud of his ability to exceed their expectations. He worked diligently, at times two and three jobs to feed and care for his family. He retired from TXI in 1980 after twenty three years of service. He also farmed many fields in and around DeSoto for many years-never wanting to leave the farm. He married the love of his life, Maida Augusta, who preceded him in death in 1993. They were married fifty-one years.

Together they loved and raised five unruly children-Gail and George Lowry of Beaumont; Gwen Isaacks of Dallas; Gary Isaacks of Waxahachie; Gerald and Cynthia Isaacks of Waxahachie; and Alta and Gary Arnold of Dresden. He was blessed to have sixteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends and relatives 7-9 PM Thursday at the Boze Family Red Oak Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 10 AM Friday, June 10, 2005 also at the Red Oak Funeral Home with Reverend Ted Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Arnold, Paul Arnold, Robert Echols, Russell Echols, Kris Isaacks, Marvin Isaacks, and Todd Lowry. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.
