Doug Clark of Whitney passed away Monday at the Hillcrest Baptist Hospital, Waco. He was born in Oakwood, Texas to Alford and Johnnie Clark. Doug served in the US Army in Germany and Holland. He was employed with ITT Plastic Extrusion and their affiliates for over thirty years in the Arlington and Grand Prairie area but for the past five years had been Operational Manager for Select Plastics of North Richland Hills. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Doug is survived by his wife, Ileen Clark of Whitney; children and their spouses, Richard and Susan Clark of Waxahachie, Michael and Jamie Clark of Whitney, Tonya and Marcus Hernandez of Maypearl, Steve and Lisa Thompson of Frisco, Jay and Tanya Thompson of Center, Patty and Ray Cyr of Waxahachie, Tammy and Ronnie Featherston of Hico, Karen and Wade Greathouse of North Richland Hills, Christine Thompson of Red Oak, adopted son and daughter, Robert and Julie Prewitt of Maypearl; sisters, Mildred and Joe Cashiola of Pearland and Darlene Cobb of Pasadena; eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, John Earl Clark, and three sisters, Velma Strickland, Hazel Hobbs and Faye Hines.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Bruce Norman officiating. Pallbearers will be Wendell Prewitt, Bobby Evans, Steven Prewitt, Barry Owens, Vernell Singleton and Mitch Bartley. Doug's grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Maypearl Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
