Mayfield Albert Curry ( A.C.) - DESOTO PIONEER

92 years of age, of Waxahachie, Texas and passed away on May 28, 2005 in Waxahachie, Texas. Born October 1, 1912 in Desoto, Texas to Jethro Simps and Martha Jane Love Mayfield.

A.C. served our country during WWII in the U.S. Army in North Africa and Italy for four years (1942-1945). Prior to retirement A.C. was employed by Siegel Liquor of Dallas for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife of forty-nine years, Claudia Mitchell Mayfield, his brother Ross Mayfield, and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife Shirley M. Mayfield of Waxahachie, Texas, nephew Malcolm Hart wife Nell and their children Gary Hart and Dana Fergusion along with their children Monica Ann and Katilin. Cousins Faye Carrell, Jim Mayfield and wife Lynn along with many nieces and nephews of the Mitchell Family. Extended family includes members of the Howard Family of Massachusetts and Lannai and Dwight David Gaines of DeSoto Texas.

Services will be held: at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church 7810 Shiloh Rd. Midlothian, Texas 76065 Tuesday May 31, 2005 at 2pm.
