Albert Bell

Albert D. Bell March 27, 1921 October 1, 2010 Mr. Albert D. Bell, 89 of Waxahachie, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at his residence. He was born near Nash, Texas to Alfred C. and Fannie (Newsom) Bell on March 27, 1921. Albert lived most of his life in Ellis County except for ten years that he lived in Bell County near Killeen, Texas. He spent three and a half years in the U. S. Army from July 1942 through January 1946. He farmed near Five Points, Texas until 1951, then moved to Waxahachie. He was employed at LTV for twelve years and retired from Gardner Denver after twenty two years. He enjoyed fishing and camping all of his life. Mr. Bell was a long time member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Lee Roy and Judy Bell; his daughter, Sherlen Ozymy; his sister, Doris Compton; his sister-in-law, Ella Hopgood; his grandchildren, Jeff Bell and wife, Cyndi, Michelle Simonton and husband, Alan, Monica Crawford and husband, David; great grandchildren, Mason Gonzales, Caitlynne Simonton, Lucas Simonton, Gracie Simonton, Parker Ozymy and Connor Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Lola Bell; his parents; brothers, Lester and Alexander (A. G.); sister lone McLain. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery with Fred Riley and Rev. Alan Simonton officiating. Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers include, Jeff Bell, Harvey Hopgood, Ray Hopgood, Dale McClain, Joe McClain, Ronnie Ozymy, Alan Simonton, Robert Toupal. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
