Albert Abbott

Sidney Abbott passed away doing what he loved -- mowing & being outside. Saturday, March 14, he had a massive heart attack & was with Jesus instantly. He was born in Greenville, TX on December 15, 1939 to R.D. & Elouise Abbott. He grew up in Dallas, mostly Oak Cliff/Lisbon area. He graduated in 1958 from South Oak Cliff High School. That same year, he married Sara who he met thru a mutual friend at his church. Sid was married to her for just a few weeks shy of 57 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Sara, his two precious daughters, Sandra Woods and Sheryl Rockwell (husband James), by his first granddaughter Cassie Woods (her fiancé Chris Owens), by his second granddaughter Katie Kemp & her brother, Austin Kemp & their father, Walter Kemp. A celebration of his life will be held at his church, Ovilla Road Baptist Church on Saturday March 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM. The church is located at 3251 Ovilla Rd., Ovilla, TX 75154, 972-617-8544 which is about a mile from his home. Lunch will follow at the church for family & friends.
