Addie Vaughan

Heaven gained a beautiful soul on August 3rd when Addie Lee (Jane) Vaughan went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at the age of ninety-three. She was born on August 13, 1922 to Beulah and Ernest Bratcher in Italy, TX. She married Carl Bufford Vaughan on May 20, 1939. During WWII she supported the war effort by working in a munitions factory in Long Beach, CA. She was steadfast in her Christian faith and her love of Gospel music. However, she will be best remembered as a devoted wife of 69 years, a loving mother and grandmother, a compassionate sister and aunt, and a longtime faithful member of Farley Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Robbins and Jim of Waxahachie; five grandchildren, Deana Hedgepeth and Roy of Waxahachie, Robin Wafer and Billy of Italy, Dustin Robbins of Atlanta, GA, Steve Vaughan and Holly of Hillsboro, and Paul Vaughan and Stacy of Cleburne; seven great grandchildren, Loren Hedgepeth and Zach of Red Oak, Fahren Walraven and Ace of Red Oak, Carlee Wafer and Gage Wafer of Italy, Bailey Vaughan and Blaine Vaughan of Hillsboro, and Garrett Vaughan of Cleburne; one great great grandchild Teagan Hedgepeth of Red Oak; one sister Hilda Ivy of Greenville, and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death her husband Carl, a son Larry, a son in-law Roy Robbins, her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.

The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, August 7th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Monday, August 8th at 10 a.m. also at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dustin Robbins, Steve Vaughan, Paul Vaughan, Roy Hedgepeth, Billy Wafer, and Greg Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Wafer and Teagan Hedgepeth.
