A.G. McClain, age 84

Mr. McClain passed away Friday morning at the Trinity Mission Health and Rehab, Italy, TX. Born in Alma, TX., he was the son of Evant and Gertrude Ellen (Kelso) McClain. He was in the US Air Force during WWII. He was married to Emma Lee, who preceded him in death in 1987, for 41 years. Mr. McClain was a member of the Farley Street Baptist Church.

His survivors include: his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Barbara McClain of Waxahachie and Leon and Kathy McClain of Pasadena; sister, Ella Hopgood of Grand Prairie; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife.

The family will receive friends and relatives 7-9 PM Sunday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 10 AM Monday, January 9, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Todd Grimes officiating. Mr. McClain's nephews will be his pallbearers. Dan Steele will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Park, Waxahachie, TX.
