Ronald Wesley Gillespie passed away September 16, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.

Ron was born in Waxahachie, Texas on July 27, 1945 to Wesley Woodrow Gillespie and Elzie Aday Gillespie.

Ron grew up in Avalon, Texas and graduated from Avalon High School in 1963. He attended Navarro College where he played basketball.

Ron served in the Army National Guard. He went on to work at Ennis Business Forms, Texas Farm Bureau, and served as Ellis County Commissioner for precinct two.

He was a member of the Ennis Kiwanis Club, United Methodist church in Ennis, and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his daughter Julie Walthall, her husband Walter Walthall, and their daughters Abigail and Grace, all of San Antonio. He is also survived by a niece, nephew, and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Wesley Woodrow Gillespie and Elzie Aday Gillespie, and by his sister Frances Gaye Watson.
